Default clutch problems lol

i think my car is trying to tell me something and im really getting pissed off now

today i left off an island and then a loud bang and i had no gears

thought the gearbox had shit itself lol

coasted to holt, checked everything couldnt get a gear unless the engine was off, which i know is clutch problems

all the hydraulic cylinders working fine wtc, so got towed home, started it up in reverse to park it up, then another bag and i had gears again

handbrake on could still get gears and it was pullng the car with the brake on

so now, can someone please sugest what the fuck it could be thats caused this

i dont want to drive the car now unless i know its going to be fine again

could it be the cover plate or release bearing, though there is no knocks or rattles coming from the bearing

i carnt take the box out so it will head off to possibly reyland when i get some cash together to get them to check it out

but id like to hear a few suggestions of what it could be, as the car is alomst on the verge of being scrapped, its a 4wd cossie

My friend , it seems to me like it is the pressure plate of the clutch .... I hope this helps! You need to replace the clutch / pressure plate and thrust bearing altogether in order to do a good job

Cheers

the jast time i left off an island in my cossie, i broke my planet gears in my diff

worth checking that the prop or props arent going round when a gear is selected but nothings happening... may have stripped some teeth in the diff?

nah its definityl clutch, as i couldnt get gear with the engine running,i had to turn the engine off to get it in gear to get the car to a safer area

diffs and props are fine as i drove it up the road lol, and no noises or anything, but now i have gears again, im scared that it could go anytime, so may just get it booked in and see whats up, if it doesnt cost too much then ill keep the car lol

i drove the car today about 20 miles and it seemed ok, but ther is that nagging feeling something isnt correct with it

its going in the garage tomorrow and ill send it to reyland in a couple of weeks, gives me chance to get some cash together incase it needs a complete new clutch
