I've got a feeling I saw one a couple of years back on 9" split rims, Might be imagining it though. Thinking about a set of Jap wheels in quite a wide size. Not sure about quite that wide though! Dont think they come in a lesser width though lol

its defo a poss mate as I have 8" on mine with 235 tyres and have no arch mods whatsover and it very very rarely rubs, so I would imagine with a bit of arch work 9"'s would go on!

Cant be THAT hard can it?

Seen a fair few aborad, only rare in the UK as everyone is afraid of flaring their arches, like it gives you AIDS or something.

My car has stupidly skinny arches and got 9.5s on all round no real bother.

Same with S13 and S14 200SXs, not mega work to get em on, and they smaller than Saffs and have no more flared arches.

Will bltatantly need to flare front and rear arches, but wont be mega work. If I wasnt a penniless pauper id love to get a Saff and make it look good, wont be hard.

Rich has 235 R888's on an 8" wheel on his saph and has had problems with it rubbing quite alot. R888's in 235 work out at 243 iirc which works out roughly 9 5/8".

9 inch may well go on but you need to be wise with tyre choice. As Nash said the toyo 888 235 wide actually measure 243 wide

Nope. Why don't you do your own dirty work and ask me yourself .

no I told him to ask about the time you got yor ass handed to you on your own kart track by a newbie to the track...anyway..

SO..What do you reckon on the handling/ride with 9" wide wheels on a saff?

Might make your night sometime soon and get a few people up to the norfolk meet.

Only because we had a sick kart - obviously your finest achievement though .

Pointless. I would just run 8x17s all round.

What was wrong with it in the end?

Your kart was as healthy as your bank balance! You forget I probably give up at least 2 1/2 stone to you as well... Do you still do those endurance races? I've officially retired from racing you at 1-0 of course

I can't seem to find any of the wheels I'm thinking of in less than 9" wide.

Well he said he put a new earth to the ignition amp and closed the plug gaps and it was fine. Apparently ahmed tweaked something too. Probably not much but it seems to go seriously well now anyway... raced and gapped a zx9-r on the way home

Wheels are gona need replacing and there are no decent new wheels for fords other than the new MO's, which although I love are already common as F so I've gone off them.

I was trying to get a trade discount under R H Propaint the other day

Hurry up and finish your Series 1 so I can allow you to place an R H Propaint sticker in the rear window in return for a free paintjob
