Default A massive thank you to Motorsport Developments..

Thank you To Will,Stu and Kenny at Motorsport Developments for yesterday, took my car to them for a stage 1 180bhp conversion, Will had a problem with the grub screw on the metering head, stu came and fixed it, and in generel the car was a pain in the arse to work on !!!! The drive home was better then the drive up there lol, thanks again and thank you will for being so helpful.

I will be back up soon once the boost hoses and clutch are in.....

Yeah they did the best they could, but the car let them down took them alot longer to do as the metering head to turbo boost hose kept collapsing, and at 17psi the clutch wouldnt have it. So ive ordered new hoses and ill get a clutch next month, then back up to get the full 17psi from the car.

what happened over and above the normal level of service youd expect and receive from any paid service provider to warrant a thread publicly thanking them?

surely publicly thanking a good company for job done well on your pride and joy shouldn't warrant a grilling
hardly positive input to the post is it.

I must admit, I do find it a bit odd when people do these 'massive thanks to...' threads when a company does what it's been paid to do (any company, this isn't directed at MSD).

I wish people gave me 'massive thanks' for every day I go to work

I did the same when they bent over backwards to help me?

It's just refreshing to some of us to have a company go 'above and beyond' imo. I dealt with about 4 shite companies in my area before driving to Blackpool, and I can't praise them enough.

Fuzzy, Will usually does the work i had done in 2-3 hours, but due to my car being a twat it took him 5 hours to do the same job, due to the grub screw on the metering head being seized solid, so i feel the fact that it took an extra couple of hours to do the same job, it needs a nice thank you.

but surely mate , how long it takes is not above and beyond ?

if it took a extra two hrs then it took two more hours , u pay for a job , regardless of timescale,

and considering they never finshed it , i wouldnt be giving big shout outs,

and yeah i know its due to ur clutch slipping ,boost pipes ,

bet its not fin foc when u go bk

beef

and before i get whats with the hate ,, ive no hate i respect msd as tuners .

just agree in why give thanks for what you pay for ?

espically when i wouldnt class it above and beyond imo

It is finished considering the problems, i didnt know the clutch would slip, how many people know the clutch will slip when the boost has been upped ?? Will could have said cant work on it come back when thats done. But the car is running more healthy, slightly more boost than what it went in with. And most of all its set up and safe for me to use.

To me im a happy customer, as the car feels better for the work.

Thanks Matt. Very kind of you to say thanks mate and I appreciate it, even though others plainly dont as they would much rather be arguing on some topic slagging someone off. roflol.

As for "We didnt finish it." We did finish it.

The boost went up to where it should be and it would have made teh power paid for. However, an aging intake hose collapsed due to inlet depression and then the clutch slipped at peak torque. So we spent some extra time DE-TUNING Matt's car so that he could still enjoy enhanced performance from his car prior to the required costly repairs. The alternative, was to call it a day, take the money for work agreed and completed and tell him: "Its done pal, but dont put your foot down or you clutch will fail completely and you will need recocvery home, oh, and you probably wont be able to get to work in it either so you best get a bus pass"

I can name at least 4 tuners who would do just that.

STU i think some people on here would be expecting you to fit the worn out parts for free as the clutch and intake pipe were fine before you chipped it

Im very happy with the level of service Stu, Kenny and Will gave me, this post if anything highlights the fact that the car runs better now, with more boost than what i had before i went to them, and the fact i wasnt sent on my way home with a slipping clutch, as much as im a boost junkie lol.

If nobody likes what i have put then dont post, this post shows people who are in 2minds who to take there pride and joy to, that Motorsport developments offer a very good service no matter how much of a pig your car is on the day.

CUNT

Perhaps you should write an essay asking why myself and Chip publicly thanked Porkie for letting us drive his 3 door last night. Its because we wanted to just the same as this guy wanted to thank msd. Why do people have a problem with that. I bet Stu feels much better that YOU respect msd as a tuner. He can sleep well tonight rofl

yup I sure have!

As for "massive thanks"

Whats your problem people?????

MSD did a job that really made someone feel good and he wanted to public say so...

THATS THE POINT.

No go take your moaning to another dull and depressing forum (scoobynet for example )

maybe that will help
its just that we seem to see so many threads lately thanking whoever for doing whatever, but mostly mainly for doing their jobs. ive no disrespect for anyone mentioned in particular but isnt paying them and saying thanks face to face enough? it just makes it sound like an arselicking forum

I still simply do not see what is wrong with saying thank you. IMO there is not enough thank you's in this country.

If someone recieves service they find good or pleasing, regardless of paying for it, a thank you is nice. Courtesy costs nothing and more people should realise this.

I was down powers the other day, watching a very clean, standard S2 on the rollers with standard boost hoses, Iain was in the car setting it up etc, and I could see on full throttle the top boost hose was collapsing! So I mentioned it to the guy, then to Iain. Customer thanked me for pointing it out, as did Iain.

Needless to say, the guys going back, with a new boost hose and something else that was needed to finish on the car.

Nothing wrong with thanking someone, Manners are free at the end of the day.

Nice one Stu
