could someone please tell me the kw to hp equivilant? ie:- what hp to 1kw or the other way around

cheers dude, i had a guy at the car insurance place telling me earlier that 320hp was 200kw. so he's a bright lad, i'd got no idea lol

 

yes - it's short for the german word for horsepower and is a metric unit that is close to the imperial unti of HP. it's quite close though. 200 PS is 197 HP i think from memory

however, the correct unit for power is the Watt and we should all be using that and Nm for torque.

 

unfortunately most people in the uk associate kw to their kettle or electric fire lol

well i got just under 2 an half back an i've bought naff all here, i only paid in 3600. stupid this tax system here, they may as well just ask for a contribution from you rather than taking it from your wages then at the end of the year basically saying "so how much do you want back, and be honest" lol
