Default Series 3 Zetecs Qu's??

Right with the ol S1 1.8 Zetec if it was 115bhp you could go out and buy all the RS1800 / 2.0 bits and make it to 130bhp. But can the same be done on the S3 Zetec??? Ie go and get the 2.0 cams, ecu and TB?? Or im my case it will be only the 2.0 cams a Focus Central TB and iether a chip or bluefin..

Will it work???

Thanx

Andy

I'll be down at the next meet mate...I know for sure that the ST170 gear is not gonna work in the non ST engines as it has some sort of VVT in it it i think. As well as the inlet manifold has adjustable straights...Plust the ST doesn't use the same engine management as the 2.0/1.8 as that EECV i think. So the only part i have robbed off the ST is the lovely 4 branch manifold and cat.

You can put 2 litre cams in m8, yeah. I take it a Focus Central TB is an aftermarket one? If so that's cool cos the std 2 litre one is small for driveability reasons.

Yes bob the Focus Central is a 65mm TB. Would the 2.0 cams be any better for power tho??? Or is it just best to get a set of Kent/Piper cams and be done with it???

2 litre cams would be the equivalent to a piper cam for the 1.8, I don't know without looking at the specs for them though.

The 2 litre cams would be a safe bet, but on 1800's tend to move the power up the rev range a bit. Swings and roundabouts
