I'm not sure if this is the write section as this is the first thread i've started on here, I recently got a base model escort and it has the black part at the base of the doors etc that goes up about a 3rd of the door to match the front/rear bumpers in black.

Is this stuck on vinyl stuff or is it painted on, hopefully not as I want it removed

Spoke to a mate today, apparantly its painted on which isn't what I wanted to hear.

I've two options

1. get it painted to match the rest of the car which is white
2. paint the part of the rs turbo kit thats under that amount to be different

what do people think?

Yeah i'm thinking that way as well, its just trying to find a decent place in swindon/surrounding areas that I trust to do it and is not going to rip me off.

Other option is rattle can's.

 

it wont last very well with rattle cans before it stone chips to the original. better off just spending the money on a propper job
