Default Bad misfiring issues

Been to croft today and the car is suffering from a very bad misfire.

The car was set-up 200 miles ago which included a new chip, new cps, new rotor, new plugs, new fuel reg.

The problem is from around 1500rpm and ranges intermittently through to 3300rpm. As you can imagine it's very difficult to drive.

I've replaced the plugs with a new set of 071's and exactly the same.

The car when first started runs very lumpy when driven slow

Any ideas???

Plugs are fine, both sets are really as one set are only 500 miles old and a new set.

Everything was fine when it was tuned 2 weeks ago

The 071'Cs have been dodgy recently, there have been loads having issues caused by the "seemingly fine" plugs.

Check the cap too as said above.

Ring your tuner to see if they can offer any advice too.

Are you smelling unburnt petrol when it's misfiring?

Yes mate,

I took the car for the set-up and after the drive back the car was put in the garage, it was then removed next to go to the bodyshop for some more work and an MOT

Thats when it started running funny on the way there, so i dropped off and the body work was done, it went in for it's MOT and failed on tick over as it was ticking over @ 1500+ but was put through as they know the car and it would be sorted.

I started the car to come home and it sounded to me that it was firing on 3 cyl and you could smell fuel under the bonnet and out the back very bad (no leaks under bonnet) then after a minute it cleared and ran on all cyl but was misfiring, i checked the plugs that were in it and they looked fine with correct gaps which were tested at the tuners, so i bought another set and exactly the same no different.

I can smell fuel but have no idea what it is, it's a bit of a pain as i have topped my budget on this car until i can build my savings up so i don't want to start chancing parts that aren't broken, i thought it would run spot on after i had it set-up but it's running worse.

if you get stuck fella i've got plenty of spares at mine which i would happy to try and fit for you?

But i'd try removing the dizzy cap make sure no moisture has got in there make sure your loom is ok try removing injectors wiring and see if problem still there, then try the plug on the same cylinder, if you got a spare Cap try that aswell, have you washed the engine bay down recently
