Default Chips and ECUs

When you fit an L8 ECU and 4x4 PF09 TPS to a 3 door do you still need to swap the outside wires on the TPS plug round?
And it does the Chip have to be fitted on particular way round?
Can you get it back to front?

Both questions I should really know but my mind seems to be failing me in my old age.

Cheers Rich

Yes and yes, the chip has a notch at one end, it's orientation is critical, and it will be damaged by inserting correct way.

The way I put it in was real easy it just slide right in, i'll have a quick look for the notch.
I've already swaped the wires round wanted to make sure though.
