technology has found a way to make them less visable

you have plastic film that youput onto the more exposed parts of the vehicle which prevents stone chiping etc and washes off nice too

cut specificly for your motor and it's got to be applied exactly as the countrous match the contours of the car

porche do them on wuite a few of their motors, but not sure if others do as a factory option

the next time you see a newer 911 have a look at the rear arches behiodn the doors to see what i mean
