Default Lawn mower experts? Ransomes trouble!

Hi hopefully some of u who helped last time can help again.

My husquavana rider 13 (briggs and stratton)

I have replaced the headgasket, which solved the initial problems. but in cleaning out the carb, i have some how changed the fuel. and it now majorly overfuells. flods the carb and stalls.

only way i can get it to run is a molegrip to reduce flow on the pipe

heres the carb, does anyone know what adjustment to do to reduce the fuel, ive tried fiddling but on luck?

And secondly

i have accuired a Ransomes triple 18. was given to me as i thought the husky was dead! anyway was sitting in a lock up for 3 years, i stuck a new battery on and flushed the fuel tank/lines and it started first time

since then ive replaced some sprockets on the drive chains, and now ive gone to start it and there is bugger all spark, the multi meter is showing 0.03v through the Ht lead, so no spark!!?

does anyone know what i can do, there seems to be a electronic sealed unit that the sparkplug wire goes into. blame is pointed at this, but i just thought id ask before i go buying more parts in a hit and miss style!!

thanks.

sounds like the carb needs taking apart, cleaning & putting back together making sure moves freely, does the carb have floats in it?

yeh there is a float, but when i rebuilt it last month it was nice and free, and didnt have an issue for the 1st cut after that. then died the week later.

im more concerned with the ramsomes lack of spark, as the husky i fear is on its last legs as it has cut a 2 acre area every week for the last 7 years!!!

husky is a briggs

model 286707
type 1206-E1
code 020517ZE

the ransomes, part of the reason im struggling is cos the engine is a Kohler, never worked on one before!

model M8S
spec 301556
serial 2306307212

here a pic, u can just make out the little sealed unit in the gap where the spark lead goes. i dont really want to take it to a dealer, 1 cos they will prob laugh at its age, and 2 just out of principle i want to fix it myself!
