Default Charge cooler?

just been given a intercooler thats a bit bigger than a 2wd one but it has a small radiator inside the outlet end ,i guess to reduce intake temperatures. Ive been told its a charge cooler. Is it supposed to be plumbed up to the cooling system or have its own? anyone any ideas?

it sounds like a standard escort cosworth intercooler/chargecoooler set-up
on the standard escort it is piped into the engine coolant but of cause this isnt ideal, and a separate water system would be more beneficial

just thinking about this again, is the chargecooler on the turbo or inllet manifold end?

sorry,no pics yet.camera fooked! its got ford stamped on it so it is probably a stndard escort cosworth unit. will it be better than a 2wd one? ive got a shed full of old bits. Will an old oil cooler do as a radiator? how about an inline fuel pump to circulate it? cash is tight .!! or should i save up for a proper kit?
