Default full s1 kit inc bumpers+ lower skirt on mk4?

been thinking today and thought how diff it would be to get a full s1 kit fitted to a mk4

im thinking about doing it to my mk4 cabby

i know the rear bumper and arches and skirts will fit but the trouble would be fitting the front bumper and front lower skirt ? am i right ?

has anyone got any pics of a s1 or mk3 front end with no bumper ect on it.

also has anyone tryed this .?

i think it could look quite cool and different.

any reply would be greatly appreciated .

oh right well i wasnt going to cut up the genuine kit anyway as then the kit wouldnt look the same would it .

i was after pic of the front of mk3 without bumper to some compairing to the mk4 and see if it could modd the mk4 front panel (from headlights down) to accept the bumper ect

i do think it would look smart fitted to a mk4 properly .

how many mk4's you see wearing a full s1 kit.

just want to make use of the brand new skirts and arches i have got in my loft and think it would be a very original thing

My mate steve did it to his bonus' (s) theres a few pics on here look for steve749 ....

the front panel on the mk4 is totally differnt in fact there is no lower front valance on a mk4. To pull the look off you need to cut the mk3 arches up to the top end of the bumper/wing....

My mate whippy has a set off mk3 arches already cut to fit. I dont know if he still has them i shall ask. Unfortunatly for us mk3 boys they are genuine (!) but whippy didnt do them.....

let me know if you want them and i shall ring him tomorrow...

its ok mate i want to do the whole lot or nothing .
think ill get some pics of the 2 bare front ends and compair. if need be i might get hold of a pattern part mk3 front panel and use the bottom section off that .

i think first ill get the s1 bumper and lower skirt for front and offer it up and then see im sure it can be done with no mod to kit and little to the car.

so if anyone has got pis of a bare mk3 front end could you post them much appriciated

you would have to change the front panel, wings and rear panel to fit the full s1 kit.
just leave the mk4 bumpers on and cut the fuck out of the kit thats what i did

I dont see how you would do this personally - the mk4 wings dont reach all the way down the the lower panel so you will be left with a big gap aswell as the bumpers not fitting/looking right due to gaps etc.
The line of the lights between mk3&mk4 is different - also the mk3 bumper is shaped to follow along bottom of lights.
The rear valance is also completely different (mk3 is lower and the mk4 is much higher) also the rear quarters are 'stepped' and dont continue to the bottom of rear valance so there is no way you would get a mk3 bumper on without it looking dodgy.

By all means have a go at it, but looking wrong isnt always original

Mart.
