Derbyshire RS Lads - Question
I was just wondering why you dont have a regional day at Chatsworth House instead of sharing Croft, its a brilliant location and seems a waste. CheeRS
why is that then.....
We have a field next to croft for the show....
We have 0-60 next to the field....
All this lies in a circuit...
So what does chatsworth have to offer beside sheep shit and grass ?

Croft was a superb show last year, lots of stuff to look at and nice to chill out on the banking watching the track action.
Croft works very well as it is so theres no reason to change it and make it a static show. I like my static shows but after a few hrs you have seen everything, atleast with the track action theres allways something to watch.

To be fair, I totally see where Dingy is coming from, Chatsworth is a mint location, but every show I remember going too (as Dingy says) the fields where covered in sheep shit... How many complaints is that gonna bring?
I'd Imagine the cost implications for one Region to hold a show at Chatsworth or two at Croft, with something for everyone at Croft then it's proabaly gonna be cheaper??

Idiots! He didnt say why not ditch croft and have one at chatworth! He obviously meant have both! As in Derbyshire have chatsworth, and durham have croft! Instead of combining! thats all! God talk about folk getting the wrong end of the stick, then coming out with cuntish replies!
if you like static shows an slow moving cars you might want to try a vw show!?

Lets say nobody suggested abandoning Croft then - Cocker - and again who mentioned statics, seeing as some rally cars ran a stage at chatsworth last week why couldnt a rs show have some live action ?
Because the Derby group would be left with a boring parked in a field regional show, and the Durham group would be left with the best regional weekend in the RS Owners Club calender at Croft. So why would the Derby members who have done 50% of the hard work to get the Durham and Derby regional weekend at Croft just walk away after years of hard work????If it wasnt for Croft last year us RS club members wouldnt have had a good proper weekend show.Nat Day was a disaster at the Rock,Croft was our national day really if the truth be told.A big well done to both groups on last years Croft, and I hope both Durham and Derby continue to work together over the years to keep Croft at the top of RS shows.Regards ,Micky
been to croft last 3 years, (2 hour drive!) best show last year, 2nd best show other 2 years would not miss it!
been chatsworth house show (30min drive) not bothered about going unless i am bored that weekend next year!
static shows have there place but shows with track action as well as the show and shine stuff are THE future just look how well there attended compared to statics.
Dingy does croft as thats what the Derbyshire RSOC members want! Simple as!

OK some facts for the haters...
RS club was banned from chatsworth after many boy racer chav style burn outs and accidents - the last one near fatal.
So moving the event to a circuit and moving away from static show was the way forward.
Why am i thick & cuntish because I saw the light, joined groups and WE as a joined group have one of the best Ford events of the year.
I must be retarded to have pulled that one off.
Static shows IMHO do not offer enough for a days entertainment hence the move away from it.
Why are all the shows that are not just static shows the most popular ?
I have been going to static shows since 1989 and seen it all before....hence we host a weekend event at a circuit - not even the national club can pull that off.
And instead of asking the derbyshire lot if the want a day at chatsworth - which clearly they don't hence the show location. WHY DON'T you orgnanise a show there your self.....i think you would be shocked at how much hard work goes into making a successfull regional RS show....

Think they need to understand that croft track and doing a joint show is a DERBYSHIRE GROUP DECISION not mine LOL.....

Why anyone that is into performance fords and fast cars in general prefer walking around a field than coming to see a full on track day and full show is beyond me!!
Some of you's lot really have no idea how much work we put into organising this weekend show for people to enjoy! Maybe you'd like to contribute to my mobile bill for the month leading up to it and all our spare time doing stuff for it!
Before you's all sit there calling us cocks maybe you should think about what you's would do them weekends in the summer if cocks like us didn't bother..........National day, coombe & Croft are all mostly the same if at different scales but if they wern't there you'd all be fookin moaning!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Agreed - Chatsworth is one of the most beautiful places in the country on a sunny day and i drive through it regularly, but last year both Dingy and I attended the Rally Show there and they had a tractor pulling people out of the 'car park' (which was actually part of the grounds)

i heard the backlash the RSOC got for making people drive over very small rocks for National Day at Rockingham. Can't see them liking getting dragged out of shit much lol
Plus as ding says the RS show was banned from there anyway
tangodeltasierra, simple answer is that chatsworth would be a backwards step from croft for derbyshire.
we know little about concourse and show stands etc, durham deal with that side of things, we deal with the track. it makes the best of both worlds for both groups and clearly works
also the rsoc will only endorse one regional day for a local group so the possibility of both croft and chatsworth as derbushire shows is an instant no go
as usual dingy is again taking unwarranted internet shit because people dont like the original answer. it might have been explained in more than "its a field" lol but if people knew anything about show organising they would read more into the the 3 words!!!!
all the best from "some other fucker"
lee, like it or lump it you will find that there is an overwhelming majority in the rs scene in favour of track day shows as apposed to static only shows. i would have thought you had been about long enough to recognise this! track day shows might not be for everybody no but facts are facts and static shows are for less people. the numbers through the gates are the facts before you ask! and no its not all about numbers but croft is damn expensive to hire and obviously we must take enough to cover that amongst the other overheads. it isnt about making money though, a lot is donated to car related stuff. the 0-60 is a class example of this, we hire the datron kit for x amount, and anything above that taken on the 0-60 is given to charity. im running on a little here
but the majority of people who have commented will no doubt have little or no idea about what goes into a show. its a pain in the ass believe me. the agro we put up with you wouldnt believe. im not moaning by the way. ive not had much to do with the derbyshire group since i moved out of the area and stood down so cant comment much on croft 08 but i doubt it was any less agro than the previous years i was actively involved with.

I remember going to the RS show at Chatsworth and it was near dead!
And has any of you lot tried ealing with the Chatsworth estate?
I had to deal with them a couple of years ago and they are impossible lol.
