as above and whats the difference between these and xr4x4 hubs. any info really appreciated.

all cossie hubs are the same but XR4X4 arnt ( thats if you mean fronts )

that explains why my new brake kit is way out as i ordered 4x4 cos and i have xr4 hubs by the looks of it. Thanks mate

as Paul has stated the Sapphire and Escort Cosworth share the same front hub the XR4X4 is different

what is the wheel et on a 4x4 saff and a 2wd saff ?

The actual hub face (the rotating part with the studs) is the same but the hub carrier is different between xr4x4 and cos 4x4. As stated the bolt holes are further out for the cosworths due to the larger diameter discs.

Jimbo - as for offsets isn't escos something like ET25 and 2wd something like ET38? I could be wrong on these though - someone will know for sure.

Jimbo I think from memory there is more to the differences than just the bolt holes being further out. As stated the whole offset of the hub carriers are different. When I changed my old XR4x4 hubs for cosworth ones I remember being surprised how different they were.

oh right well wat it is, is i am thinking of buying some wheels off a saff for my mk6 escort so needed to know the offset of 2wd and 4x4 so if he dosnt no the offset i can say wat saff is it !!

the whole complete hub is further inboard by 8mm compared to the normal 2wd cars
the offsets on the xr hubs are 4mm
