Default egay taking the mick GRRR

Last night whilst trying to list a car for sale, i kept getting an error code to go back and fill in missed parts, yet i had missed nothing out of the auction, and it wouldnt process, i got this error twice before it letting me list the vehicle on the 3rd attempt.
When i checked my ebay, it had listed the car 3 times, yet i only got 1 confirmation that the listing had actually gone through, so emailed customer services as imo it was down to their technical problem.

Theyve basically emailed back saying cant i change it to suit another item i want to sell, bearing in mind its cost me £24 now in fees as it was a vehicle, and if not i will have to end the auctions i dont need.

So they expect me to pay a £24 listing fee for 1 vehicle?

Sent email back saying no i do not have or want to sell 3 vehicles and it is down to their system that it actually listed it 3 times

Im bouncing

IF i dont get a refund im gonna cancel my bank card and say its been lost, get a new one and then they cant take payments for it, i dont see any other option

egay was being gay for me the other day - it failed while trying to process a paypal payment - In the end it turned out I HAD paid....TWICE! Once when it failed, and once again when I tried again!

I contacted the seller, ebay and paypal. ebay sent me a standard 'nowt to do with us mate' the day after, paypal sent Mr Kumar along the day after with a vague grasp of English who basically said it's ebay's fault, and the seller came back the same day with an immediate refund! Cracking seller - nuff respect!

You'd have thought ebay and co would want to investigate the problem in case there's a more widespread issue!

i dont think ebay give 2 hoots if you pay twice, their customer service is absolutely shocking, as i said before its all aimed at the buyer these days never the seller

put a complaint in with the insertion fee credit people to see what they say, if i get nowhere ill cancel my card

canceling your card does not stop the payment going through onto your replacement card.you need to contact your card issuing company and report the other two transaction as not authorised. That will stop the payment known as a charge back

one thing i have noticed thoug is that if, at any time, it all goes to shit, i just log out and then wait a few horus before looking to see what i've done and if it's gone through or not

they only have the card number, it will be a different number on the card so they wont be able to take payment off it? ive had regular payments set up off previous cards and once a new card comes they always get in touch as it wont authorise on new card

I will call the bank and see what they say

I used to sell a lot of stuff on E-BAY, but with the downturn in the country at the moment nothing goes for really good money now, and their charges are too high so I'm going to be packing it in as a seller soon. Good place to buy from though sometimes still.
