A couple of years ago I bought a set of APEX lowering springs for my 1993 Ford Sierra/Sapphire Cosworth 4x4, which works absolutely perfect. Now my car is called in for the MOT check. This means that I now need a document that shows that my springs are TÜV approved in order for me to get my car through the MOT with the APEX springs.

Does any of you guys have a copy of a TÜV approval for the APEX springs, which you might be able to scan and send me a copy of?

If you have a TÜV approval for another type of springs for a Sapphire Cosworth (Eibach, H&R etc.), I would also appreciate this, as I can use this also (I just need a document to show at the MOT, they wouldn't know the type of springs anyway, it just have to be for a Sapphire Cosworth).

we wouldn't really ahve them in the uk, as our ministry of transport does not require anything relating to TUEV.

furthermore, it is very unlikely that any springs produced in the UK would have TUEV certification as it is not necessary to sell them in the UK.

you would be best looking in Germany, particularly from a German suspension manufacturer like Eibach, H&R, Bilstein etc.

i'll have a look on german google for you, see if i can come up with anything. will be a good challenge

My mate got some apex springs fitted on his rs2k and it did av some papers saying tuv approved, I have the end of the box my springs came in and that says tuv certified for a saff cos, so if ya get stuck pm me and ill send it to ya buddy.

 

Spax are TUV approved as well.

just looked at their website, and didn't realise that they were a dutch company. as such, they will probably TUEV certify all of their products, so why don't you just send them an email Tommy?

Thanks for the link to the Weitec-springs. It might work, although my springs are black and they say red or green in the TÜV.
I actually wrote Apex an e-mail yesterday, but they haven't replied yet.
