if i get a box thats got this ratio
1st 2.95; 2nd 1.94; 3rd 1.34; 4th 1.00; 5th 0.63

would that be longer or shorter than a std box?

According to the original road test data, the 2wd Sapphire ( I presume you meant that ) had a final drive of 3.64.
1st was 2.95, 2nd 1.94,3rd 1.34, 4th 1.00 and 5th 0.8

So with your box your 5th gear will be turning the engine at fewer revs for a given speed

nope it will probably have a lower top end as you are over geared for your power

makes no difference to a track cossie really, as there are not many tracks that require 5th gear
