I need to have a bit of alloy welding done to my turbo and just wondered how hard it is,dont mind getting a few scrap bits and having a practice,I can weld lead which I belive is the softest metal to weld,is alloy gonna be much harder?

I was board in the garage earlier so knocked up a lead money box that and my car got me thinking it cant be to hard.

might ebay it for a laugh and see how much I get

 

What are you planning on welding it with ? You'll only really get decent results with an AC Tig welder which isn't cheap.
