At 28grand for a current service on a WRC engine it would make it worth more than the focus cosworth was worth !!

Well they dont actually service them they just give you another

This is who builds the Focus WRC engine!

They have done since 2006 and they are a French Company.

The intitial build is buy Pipo and the rebuilds are done in house at M-Sport!

Mountune made the engine in 1999,

Then Cosworth made it for 2000, 2001 and 2002

Then a French company PEPO took over, and still supply the engines.

Customer engines are re-built in house at M-sport.

They're not gone. Half of the business is now Mahle Powertrain, the other was bought by yanks (cart team owners i believe?), and now they produce a bunch of aftermarket parts for jap cars.. but also the YB!! (eg, the aluminium YB block that i've yet to see in person)..

Pipo is very well known, they made WRC engines for Peugeot too, with the 206WRC for example, which was quite a sucessful car. But yes, why the hell did Ford let Cosworth...

Wasn't Ford's lack of funding holding Cosworth back? I seem to remember them complaining a bit about that while they were owned by Ford.
