is anyone going to try and organise a midland meet as we know the others have failed, but as the good weather is getting here would be good to get something organised

i went to a vw one last night and was quite a few cars there

so was thinking what about the tesco at the ricoh arena tuesday or thursday nights around 7pm onwards?

but obviously would depend on what the best days will be, the vw have thers ona wednesday

plenty of parking spaces etc, ok no pub but tesco is there lol and burger king

someone needs to organise something lol as midlands has quite a few good cars and even the buftys can get the cars out due to weather

plus its 2 mins away from jn 2 of the m6

what days would people prefer, if we keep it simple to start off with then it can only grow bigger then we can arrange somewhere else at a later date, lets justtry and get one going first

this is the problem we had last time, we need to make it so people will attend, and only days i can think of are either a thursday or tuesday

so if i say next thursday 12th june 2008 at 7pm onwards at tesco ricoh carpark and see what happens hows that

best place would be as you come into tesco 1st island do a left and stay at that end of the carpark as its quiet and out the way

mate, can I make a suggestion here? Why not find a nice pub with a big garden/ car park, meeting at tescos is a bit poor IMHO as you can't sit down anywhere, cant get a drink or bite to eat, and is just a bit chavvy IMHO.

Our local RSOC meets at a nice pub, and we stipulte good behaviour to keep the landlord/locals sweet, but get loads of free food as we pull lots of people in on a quiet night ( tues)...

meeting somwhere like that is much better as you can all chat and have a drink, and attracts a much larger audience, as most people find standing round a car park a bit sad IMHO...

there is a pub less than 2 minutes drive from the Ricoh with a reasonable size car park and a big garden

 

its all in the air all ready................

 

yup, that why i gave up last time and Staffi before that and Bud-weis before that lol

 

my sugestion would be keep it where it is and the people that can be bothered to get of there arses and attend the meet can have input to the future of the meets

 

who agrees with the pub idea though?

 

at the end of the day u cant please every1, as said in the original post we can meet 4 the first time then decide on location

Ill be up for a go-kart meet Even if a good 10 of us go am sure we can a good laugh.

i will go to the ricoh ,i work nights so will only stay till 8.30 ish.but as said before ,you could meet there,and then take a drive to a pub.most of the fun is going in convoy.lol.

this is what happened with all the last events,as people were arguing over venues etc,

so date and times et, wana come down then do so and we can all have a chat about it there and see what happens on the next one, but lets at least get this one going
