Too fucking right.

Should have a zero tolerance policy if you ask me and impose a minimum jail sentence of 6 months or something.

Nice one.
If they aint got a good excuse, lock the cunts up.

I keep a leatherman in the car because its a handy tool but theres no excuse for taking it to the local pub.

It should go on your mental age; which is high enough if you have a Knife.

TBH, if you do the crime, you should do the time...

Life for a life, eye for an eye !!

They need to start building more prisons or bring back capital punishment

why wasn't it 16 already?

I can't believe people aged 17 and under where only getting cautions for possesion of a deadly weapon!

Should be if you are old enough to have one on you then you are old enough to have to book thrown at you, then the bookcase & then the library brick by brick

NB have you seen the recorded homicides graph in that link?

There has to be a special note for the year that shipman was at large!

So ppl under 16 dont go around stabbing/threatening ppl?

Anyone caught in possesion of a weapon should be dealt with seriously.

I agree entirely. Mandatory minimum lock up of 2 years and the parents get exactly the same.

Bloody should be. If you're stupid enough to carry a knife "for protection" then you're stupid enough to use it.

It should be EITHER the kid OR the parent is held liable, or both.
Kids are, or should be well aware of what they are doing is wrong well before 10, and if they don't without good reason(mental problem etc) then the parent should take the rap.
They should be treated the same as guns IMO.
