i went 2 have a look at an series 2 turbo the other day....he wanted 3700 it had rust on the bonnet on the bottom of the doors and a tiny bit in the boot.....it was a nice car with rs 7spoke rims and gas shocks all round ....he told me that it was 270bhp and showed me the print out....but lookin at the engine there was no way it could have been this much......from what i could see it had standard turbo standard intercooler and rad.....no samco pipes....and it sounded crap ..i didnt even bother going out in it with him+ he wouldnt drop the price at all................................please tell me that there is no way that this escort could of made that power ......whata jackasssssss lol some 1 sell me there series 2 bournemouth area

 

not with standard turbo and cooler no way standard cooler is good for bout 180bhp

 

he did say it had stage 3 head ....it still wouldnt make that power...whata joker

 

na hes got no hope mines got kms management stell bottom end stage2 head stage 3 t3 turbo and mines not even that

 

he's talking out of his arse, have a look on here and on the rsoc bb for a s2 as most of them will be good examples and u will have to travel to get one, i went to bimingham for my s1

 

i dont mind traveling for one but i dont want 2 pay over 2grand really ...plus i have loads of bits ready 2 go on in my loft ..front mounted cooler n stuff.....it seems there all up north anyways

 

Sadly i doubt if u'll get a good one for that money.

To be honest and in my opinion a 2k s2 will be shite. Spend the money and start with a GOOD base for a nice car.

 

my mate got 1 for 1800 and it really nice just needed a respray ...engines runs fine ...no probs .................i think you have 2 search 4 the right 1...it may take awile lol

 

But then it didnt cost him £1800 it needed work

 

well it didnt have 2 spray it but pait was a bit faided

 

I got mines for £1700 from a guy locally in the trade who does restores and just wanted rid. 81k miles, almost full history folder, had been in storage for a couple years. Had it fully checked (apparantly in superb condition mechanically, underneath, interior etc) the only things ive done is get the tracking done and general maintenance (new belts, oil and rad flush) as there was no receipts for the belts being done. We almost went to manchester and newcastle to look at a couple, being in the right place (the local ford dealer) at the right time sometimes helps

 

I know of one that needs some work ( outter sill wheel arch and poss a door) then obviously a spray im so tempted to go get it and sort it and sell it on
