What's the standard bore size of a 200 block?
Also, are there some cheap turkish copies going around or something that are supposedly weaker than the genuine Ford ones?
How do you tell these apart from Genuine Ford blocks?
Thanks

The turkish blocks are weaker, proven on numerous engines by JG and also MAD have had problems.
They arent copies though, they are what cosworth themselves have been selling!
They have a 99 on them, which is the year of manufacture as far as im aware.
Bore size is no different to any other cosworth block, and neither is the deck height.

Ill get a pic up of mine in 2 secs.
I got mine direct brand new from Mountune 2 years ago so they aint copies or anything like that.
I have had issues with my block cracking in the cylinder walls and after closer inspection my block seems to have thiner walls than two other older 200 blocks we looked at.
I have ran my block for over 2 years now at various power levels and only really had the prob on 500 ATW spec which i guess is similar to most peoples 600 bhp engines as these are measure on the engine dyno, so anything under this power I would say they are ok.
Any other questions?
