Jason was advise that it's overkill for his spec and would cause slight lag to the turbo so he's downsized to a smaller Pace RS500 style cooler

do you think it would make a noticable lag difference
weigh the cost and what he will get from a pace one
would it be overkill ?

i would have thought the better the cooler and all that
and anyway his charge temps will be lower so will it not boost harder anyway to make up for the very slight lag issue

im only running about 330bhp these are more suited to people ringing the nucks of T34.63s and above, such as GT range, T38s and T4s.
On 330bhp its just not worth it, as there so big, overkill really for a shomky old £3K sapph

Came from someone with a good knowledge of 500 coolers to be fair, Pace is a lot smaller so it stands to reason, especially with puny power going through it.

Do you notice difference between a standard 2wd intercooler and a Radtec 60mmm Jobbie, er YES

there is a massive difference in size going from the standard coolers to a 500 and I would still say you will struggle to feel the difference.

you should actually measure the difference in size between the pace and rs500, bet its not that much.

It would take a turbo milliseconds to fill and extra couple of square centimeteres of cooler.

I went from a 2wd intercooler to a pace 500 cooler then a genuine one, can't recall noticing any difference in lag, I only fitted the genuine one because it fits the car better as the pace one was pushing on the back of the headlights and I couldn't use the genuine undertray I had.

how come so low on the power i ran this car on greys at 32 psi all day long and no problems its got a proper engine init and gary never covered that many miles and when he got ritchard longman to inspect the engine he reported it was all good

think you can run much more than that doesnt mean you have to drive it like you stoll it

I always thought the "RS500 Style" ones were always of equal or larger capacity, not less? Whatever.
