will mondeo st24 front brake set up fit on my rs turbo?

 

i would think so same as the 4x4 cossy set up i think

 

the calipers will fit but you would need to use them with 2wd discs and also drill out the 2 bolt holes where the caliper bolts to M12 as they use bigger bolts than the 4wd cossie items but other than that they are the same

not sure if the discs could also be used but i doubt it , would like to know for definite though as they a lot cheaper than 2wd cossie discs !

i got the lot off ebay for 40 quid! discs, pads, callipers and carriers

 

Ive got mondy calipers on my 3i using 2wd discs

got them from a scrappy for Ł10 but like a tit i forgot to accidentally put the discs in my tool bag so i could try if they fit

keep us posted whether the discs fit or not

i use a full st24 setup on my mk4, discs, pads, caliper and carriers so yes they do fit. you need to drill the hub bolt holes out 1 or 2mm for the bolts to fit though and get some spacers made up from stainless steel so the carrier sits central over the discs or if your feeling cheap large ewashers will do just as good a job as spacers.
so all in all st24 discs DO FIT

glad to be of help fella, but remember there are two different pads that can go in st24 caliper/carriers so make sure you get the same shape ones as what is meant to be on there!

do they fit under std wheels?

 

no idea mate. ive got 17s on mine, sure ive seen an st24 on 15s before though

 

yeah they do as when i fitted mine my mate at work wanted to know if they would fit under his wheels as he was thinking about getting some so we put one of his RST wheels on my car and its close, but they do fit. worst case you can shave the caliper a tiny bit as a few people have done this when fitting them to ZS fiestas but with standard RST wheels you shouldnt have any problems.

yes they fit under standard rims without shaving the caliper and you'll need a spacer of 12mm to use the complete setup, hope that helps!

 

what size disc are they as i have cossy brakes (2wd disc 4x4 caliper) on at the mo, but calipers getting abit old now!

are the st24 better?

 

tbh i think the st24 are the same as the cossy 4x4

 

they are the same apart from bigger bolts used (M12)

 

dont the cossy use m12 aswell i think mine do

 

easist way to find out any info on brake dics thickness ect is to call up a local motorfactors and ask them as they should have all the right detailson their computers. or look it up on autodata
