First time I have ever posted a thread on this site.

I was wondering if any of you could sort out a disagrement that me and a few of my mates have been having.

Does anyone know if the 1990 spec Escort RS Turbo's came 'as standard' with smoked rear lights?

I personally think that no MK 4 escort came with smoked back lights but my mates disagree and say all 90 spec Escort RS Turbo's had smoked rear light clusters as standard.

Ive searched through the net and every car that is discribed as being totally standard has the normal coloured lights.

I guess if Im wrong Im wrong but I need to know.

This comes up now and again, I myslef have asked it. Looking at the microcat there is only one option.

All RS Turbo's came with the same red/orange/clear rear clusers. Every single one.

Any tinted items are aftermarket.

 

Does anyone know if s1 lights can be made to fit an s2?

 

yep they do, but there is a gap where the s2 lights should go to as the s1 items are shorter. lad on s2rs.co.uk has them fitted to his s2

 

yes they can i dont know how hard it is but theres an xr3i near me thats got some fitted.

 

I saw a genuine mint low mile XR3i H plate today and it had orange! was 90 spec EFI
