Default Wheel size/offset for S1?

Hi everyone,

I was wondering what offset/wheel width is used for a S1 RST for 17" wheels?

I understand that i may have to grind the arches a little but I think the wheels that i have on at the moment are the wrong offset. I have been told that minor grinding will be needed but looking at my wheels and where they touch the arch i'll have to cut almost the whole lip out? Some people have told me that with the same size wheels as mine on there S1 the only scrub on hard cornering or when they have 4+ people in the car? My car scrubs with just me in sometimes and quite heavily when 2 people in the car??

This is what leads me to believe i have the wrong offset??
Any help will be apprieciated as i really want a silly problem like this sorted. But before i either buy new wheels or grind arches I want to know the info.

Cheers

Darren

ET should be around 40mm and the wheel width shouldn't be too wide or they will thouch the struts, I think first in the rear.

i had a similar problem with my comps on my s2, but they are 15x6 ET25 (wrong offset but the car sits nice on them )

Mine was cured mainly by using taller and harder springs on my coilovers - as it was squatting when i accelerated. Not sure if this will suit though, as it's not as nice on the road
I also went from 205's to 195's
