Project Ring, - Under 500quid.
some friends had the idea of going to the ring, we all start off with 500pounds.
we have to buy a car, mod it and must be able to carry 4 people.
dont know what anyone else has bought or if they have done it yet.
I picked up a P reg, Pug 106, s2, 1.6. with 5 months tax, and 4 months Mot, for a very reasonable 150pounds. was looking at xr3i's etc, but this was too cheap.
this is fooked body work wise, but thats already boing sorted.
will post pics in the day,
Any modiforcation ideas are welcome,

From: Dewsbury, The parts were they don't abduct their own children!
I agree that it seems a great idea
But please could you make sure that the cars are mechanically sound before going around the track
I know this sounds silly but last year there were a group of lads from London on a stag do with the same idea. But the problem was that for that price most of the cars were shockingly bad and were leaking all kinds of fluids.
Even though it was unbelievabley funny seeing a ford granada with a spoiler made out of 3*2" timber and covered in flame decals when they went round the track and dropped oil/coolant all over the track (which they quite happily knew about) it was not funny anymore!
That week there were already 5+ deaths on the track, mostly bikers that have skidded off due to oil/water on the track? Also you have people taking there pride and joy out to do something they love. They don't expect to be losing control mid bend due to someone elses poor worksmanship.
This is not saying that you are anything like them guys just thought i'd share with you my thoughts.
Apart from that - new brakes, flame decals and a dukes of hazzard horn will go down a treat! ha ha
