I'm doing a resto on 1985 S1 and have the car down to rolling shell. I've removed the roof lining, sunroof and all the sound proofing and the roof looks good underneath between the actual roof panel and the other internal panel that sunroof slides back inbetween.
Just wandering... can this internal panel be removed so i can fully clean the surface rust away and repaint, seal the inside of the roof panel.
I'm sure i read that its only bonded to the outer roof panel, if so hows best to go about removing it. Cheers guys.

it has a couple of spot welds then its just a sealer bead all the way round
