mpg on rst?
with fuel prices what they are you will have to have deep pockets if you do any sort of milage!!
if its running bang on i.e its leaning right off when not you dont need the fuel you could see around 35mpg
but if its running like 90% of them then youll see way less than that

My best was 300 miles to £30 of fuel
That was a few years ago but when i last drove it i was getting 70 miles to £10 (including normal driving and a blast here and there)
Looking at it another way
£1.10 a litre x 4.54 = £4.99 a gallon
So your getting 2 gallon for £10
35 miles per gallon isnt bad at all

I agree , I had my s2 when i had minimal funds and i done all the soft driving and counting the pennies and i worked it out to around 25-30 max mpg and the engine was pretty much std.
Thats why i drive a diesel during the week and roll the focus out at weekends .

I get about 30-35MPG from my 180BHP Escort. I have converted it to EFI though which made quite a noticable difference.
I can do more than 35 on a long motorway run if I don't floor it too much...

I find the fuel computers very accurate!
To check it just do this...
Put in X amount of fuel (litres) then clock your miles until it runs out, divide the number of miles by the amount of fuel, multiply by 4.5 to get your MPG...... it's always been bang on for me!
ie: 50m/10L *4.5 = 22.5mpg

Used to get 270 miles from a tank when it was mfi and 220ishbhp, now it's running dry after 230 miles
Think it usually gets about 20 to the gallon
Goes through just shy of 1/4 of a tank a session at track days
