anyone leave tools on site? and can you get insurance to cover leaving them in a site box?

i leave my tools in workshop locked in my toolbox.you can insure them under home/contents insurance

do you have to add them? have reciepts etc? due to the fact some of mt tools i may no longer have reciepts for? just a little worried about leaving "my living" so to speak out of my site

just thought, how could i insure them under house/contents insurance if they are not in my house?

never leave my tools on site or very rarely in customers houses,cos if they got nicked you cant work till you have got new tools,if they went i would have to call it a day,i fit kitchens,its taken 4 years to build up my tools and cost me over 5 1/2 grand,just not worth the risk mate,keep em in van its got dead locks ,

only prob is im working in the city and due to ken livingstone its a no no for driving and parking
