Where do i start this is my series 2 project which i need to sell to free up some funds i have a series 1 and mk 1 escort and isnt too practical now having a company car to.
The car is 1990 Ford escort L 1.3 (factory fitted sunroof) with genuine series 2 rs turbo parts on it. It has tax until september and MOT until september. It is a very reliable runner and comes with all MOT's backing up genuine 81000 miles and a big wallet of service history.
It is immaculate radiant red with NO RUST on it at all. I have had it on the ramp at work and it is immaculate underneath never been welded and not even surface rust developing. It has been looked after i dont think it has ever seen a winter. The battery tray is mint no bubbles at all innner wings extremely clean. There isnt any bubbling on the tailgate or by the sunroof i have had the watertight seals off around the doors and boot and there isnt even any surface rust it is a very very clean shell.
Body
It has 88 spec front bumper, 90 spec rear bumper and 90 spec rear spoiler. It has had s1 arches cut to fit the mk 4 and sprayed in radiant red to match. It also has full 88 spec interior even down to the carpet and the headlining which is in very good condition.
Engine
It does only have the 1.3 engine fitted at the moment mated to a 5 speed gearbox. The engine has been serviced and well maintained in the past it runs very smoothly with no probs even cold starts in the mornings with no problems i have ran it to work few days a week and is great on petrol to. It also has a janspeed exhaust on it.
Suspension
I have fitted a brand new set of koni adjustables 1500 miles ago and still have the receipt to prove.
It has Kahn 5 spoke (unsure of the model) 17x7J wheels with Falken 512 205/40/17 with 7-8 tread left.
it has everything ready for an rst conversion that was the next step but with other projects on the go i am unsure when i will have time for it.
There are a few little bad points it has a few dents in the bodywork one on o/s drivers wing, and one small one on front of the bonnet.
I have been as honest as possible, it is a very clean shell perfect for a reshell or project for someone.
