Hi not being a member long i bought my rs turbo a couple of weeks ago a really clean 62000 miler which had a lot of money spent in the past on it i got to drive it home then second time i drove it. It decided to blow its bottom end to quite a serious effect so now having an engine rebuild after doin 100 miles in it
just wondering if any one else has had this kind of luck with there cars. cheers

bought an rs turbo a few months ago, head gasket starting to go a couple of weeks into ownership.
impossible to foresee its just life tbh mate. you wouldnt of bought an rst if you were that concerned lol

i once had a look over a 1.4 ghia mk4 escort for a mate, cos he didnt know much about cars.
it seemed OK, only Ł400 so couldnt go wrong.
i remember saying to him "its a sound enough car, if the engine blows up next week dont blaim me"
a week later it had somehow got a dint/split in the sump (he says he didnt bottom it out, but some fucker did), lost the oil, the oil sender wasnt working, engine seized!
