Same as a regular evo 5 I'd think, but apart from the usual quote Jap figures nonsense, what is it really????

From Evo VIII MR onwards though, different thing. The base one you could get over here was the Evo VIII MR FQ-300. It had 305 bhp, and was unchanged save the SVA stuff from Japan. So at that point on, start taking it with a pinch of salt.
An interesting aside, CCC physically dyno'd the engine on the Evo VIII 260 when it came out.
Result? 284 Bhp.
IV/V/VI are all MUCH lighter that the curent lardy ones, and an RS is lighter still with shorter gear ratios. They're all out by 140mph, but get there really quickly.
Yup. In effect until the new Nissan GTR came out. Every car before that all the Japanese manufacturers limited their product to 276 BHP "officially".
Some however like the Supra TT were in reality about 326-330.
Fraid not mate. They'll be 276 - 280, and no more than that. Paul Brigden will confirm this (General Manager of Ralliart for CCC). Every rolling road I've seen further backs that up.
