What a sad day for passionford when a moderator lies and says that you cant discuss a ring crash out of respect for the person's wife who doesnt yet know about the crash, then when called on it admits thats actually total bollocks and they just lied through their teeth.

If people are going to be expected to have any respect for the forum moderators, they should have enough respect for themselves to not lie.


IF we cant disucss a crash from a ring trip on here, then at least say why, if the person in question is doing an insurance fraud or something, then just fucking say so, we are all adults after all.

To Lie and make up bullshit reasons just totally discredits the forum.

Its a public forum, and it was a public crash at a public location in front of members of the public, its a fucking joke to censor people from discussing it quite frankly.

You go out in public, and crash in public and it gets discussed in public, its totally naive for anyone to think otherwise, and it makes a joke of the mod team when they pander to it with "coverup operations" IMHO

That person was acting in an official capacity for the forum on that thread, and his actions in both the censorship and the web of lies surrounding it are being supported by the other mods and admin, so how is it anything other the forum that it discredits.

I would certainly be surprised if I get banned for just having an honest discussion and saying im quite happy for my thread to be in whatever place the mod team want it to be.
But on the other had, I was surpised at this crigeworthy scenario happening on here in the first place, I actually thought the forum and the people who run it had some integrity TBH so I never expected cover ups and lies etc.

i hear what your saying chip but any kinds of bosses/managers in any walk of life will give you different versions/interpretations of whats going on. whether it be bosses in the workplace, government, footty managers, forum moderators etc, we all know they have to say things in a certain way and we all know not to take it for gospel.

Im on your side Chip. I also got threated with a ban on Tuesday morning due to calling a mod a nob because i had written who crashed, but instead of removing the sentence they binned my whole post which i wasnt happy with

Ive NO idea if thats the case or not, and I dont really care, its not my business at all, BUT that said, discussing what happens on PF ring trips IS however this forum's business, discussions like that are the very heart of the community, we are all into cars, we all find bent metal both intriguing and educational.
SO if they are going to stop us discussing things which are "core business" for this forum such as cars and motoring holidays and crashes then at the very least they should explain why.

and im sorry but "the person who crashed doesnt want you to" is absolute bollocks, im sure simon norris didnt want his crash discussed on here either, and lots of other people, but thats just not the way it works, if you crash at a public place, in front of the public, it IS in the public domain wether you like it or not, if you dont like that concept, then dont fucking go on ring trips quite frankly IMHO!
