Just fitted S2 RST brakes to my originally 1.4L Estate and the pedal travel seem pretty long.....

Just wondered if there's a different master cylinder on the RST.... which might cure this?

(might also just be new pads and discs settling, but may as well ask )

 

yes mate different mater cylinder with 25mm piston and only 2 outlet but should work fine on your master cylinder let the brakes settle for a day and if there not any better youll need to bleed them again as it sould like youve got air in the system still

 

Didn't know that the S2 had fewer outlets..... maybe to do with the ABS?

25mm much bigger than the one my car will have?

Yeah will give them a bleed again soon....
