Is it a cosworth?
Am after a bit of advice really.
Am currently re-shelling my Sapph cosworth in a 3dr shell, unfortunately i can not afford a genuine 3dr shell (kids and house cost too much!) so i got a 1.3 shell with no rot. Have only used the shell itself all other parts are geniume ford!!
I have now 2 choices register the car as a Q plate cosworth or have it as a modified 1.3 on the log book, my question is this really:
A) If i register the car on a Q plate as a re-shelled cosworth can i still join clubs like RSOC as a cosworth owner, as you have to supply Vin details etc dont you, is the car on a Q plate still classed as a cosworth?, i believe the logbook would still say RS Cosworth on it.
B) If i leave it on its 1.3 reg and class it as a "modified" car can i still join clubs as above?
Obviously i own a genuine cosworth at the moment but its shell is past repair and i dont want to go back to a sapph, i fancy something different but will be gutted if by using simply the basic shell and keeping everything (and i mean everything) else cosworth i wouldnt be classed as a cosworth owner anymore!! I enjoy my RS owner status and am proud to be an owner!!!

Think you'll be classed as an assossiate (sp) member of the rsoc. tbh the whole rsoc club rules thing is extremly pompus for what at the end of the day is just a old Ford. Any one would think we own Bugatti's the way the rsoc club is ran imo

Sorry Cosmo either way it wouldnt be classed as a 3dr cossie as its the shell which carries the cars ID even though it would look and be one in every other respect. I would register it on a q if it was mine.
