hi fellas
got a problem that someone might be able to help with
when the cars cold it misfires like its running on 3 plugs once it warm it runs ok tho but when i hit 4k on the revs its like it hits a flat spot then clears.
a friend reckons its a bent valve but surely it wud do it all the time if this was the case?
any ideas anyone?

 

Dont think it's a bent vavle mate, the cam belt would have to have snapped for that to happen and it probably wouldnt run at all!
Could be all sorts of things, plugs, leads, dizzy, timing, poorly setup....... difficult one mate.
If you've not had it on the R/R before might be worth doing it only about £50 for an hour and they tell you for sure what it is.

 

twas a mixture of the head being blown and the timing
all fixed now tho

stuck at work today aswell tis a perfect day to drop the top and go for a spin

 

You dont need to snap a belt to bend a valve and it can still run with one bent it will just run like shit.

 

trust me it did
altho turning the boost upto 25psi certainly didnt help
