Hi guys,
not really good at these forums ect but here goes;
I have a focus that ive turbo'd, its porly at the moment so ave got it opened in my back garden. Upon taking the head off ive realised its only an exhaust valve thats damaged (thank god its not a piston ect).
I am currently running a t25 on the standard 2l exhaust manifold with an adaptor. I have a Focus RS log manifold and gt25 turbo that i have been wanting to put on for some time and now seems to be the perfect to do so. Power wise, it will remain aprox 250bhp!
The question is, as ave got everything apart, the oil feed seem to be a stright swap but do i nessesarly have to have a water feed. Also, not trying to sound like a complete numpty, if i do need the water feed, where do i get it form?
Any help would be appriceated!

The Focus RS uses a very expensive sandwich plate between the thermo housing and the head as the water feed. On the standard Focus (& RS) housing there are no sensor tappings. The housing from a Mondeo or Silvertop engine is usually substituted if a sensor is needed for a standalone ECU. These have a M12x1.5 tapping in the top for a CWT sensor, and a 1/8NPT tapping under the 'top hose' for the gauge sensor. If these are needed, then the easiest thing is to tee off the hose to the heater from the back of the housing.
The last couple of years of Zetec production the housings with sensors (Mondeo, ST170) use plain sensors with 'O' rings retained with a 'hairpin' clip. So they would be a bit more difficult to use.
The water outlet on the Focus RS tees into the heater bypass hose (the medium hose at the front of the housing) which goes to the 'bottom hose' and pump inlet. I don't know why this is the routing now in preference to that used on earlier Ford turbos..

IIRC the water connections on the GT25 are done with a banjo fitting M14x1.5 bolts. The oil feed is a banjo M10x1.5, oil return is normal 2 bolt flange.
