Knocking noise from Drive shafts / Suspension

Knocking noise from Drive shafts / Suspension
Has anyone found that they encountered a knocking noise after lowering there Escort Cos. Mines only dropped an inch with a set of Koni's & I get a loud knock when driving along. Its not continual & doesn't increase with speed but its definitely related to the suspension or drive shafts on both the front & back.
Its fine on a smooth road but turning & over small bumps it can be heard.
Would lowering the car only an inch cause this to affect the drive shafts ?
