Stripping out the engine bay, but not sure what this is?
Looks like its some sort of breather fron the fuel tank.

Goes to what looks like a one way valve

 

that is a valve that is a part of the ventilation system for the fuel system.fuel gasses are let either back in the gastank..or in a canister..a filter for the fuel system gasses.

Not yet mate Gonna take my old one there tomorrow so he can rob a couple of bits from it that he may need.

Do yours foul the coilovers at all at the moment?

 

fuel purge solenoid, it opens up on the over run and vents fumes back into engine

 

if it's a little cylinder of plastic with 2 wires in the plastic and a vac pipe going in and out it's part of the egr/cat/emissions stuff

can't see the pics but that's what it seems like to me

canister purge valve it's clled, but you can do without it if you like

 

Im sure i binned that bit when I put the breather system on, was that the right thing to do. I did blank it off
