Would a set of standard 16" escort cosworth alloy wheels fit on a RS1800 Fiesta car? Would there be enough clearance on rear and front arches when turning? Would these wheels work on standard springs or would i have to use lowering springs? Would i require spacers or would i have a problem with a different offset while driving?

 

Had a set on my fiesta turbo (should be same as the rs1800) Car was already lowered around 35mm maybe?

Used very narrow tyres 195/40/16 at the fronts and 195/45/16 at the rear. Wheels fitted straight on no need for coilovers/arch modding etc.... Ride was a bit harsh at types most likely due to the narrow tyres but i lived with it but then thats me so dont know.

Did have a set of cossy calipers and discs fitted at the front so dont know if that was an advantage or if it helped in anyway?

Tbh genrally had no problems with touching the shocks/arches or when turning etc so for me its was a great mod

Thanks for replying lads. Those cosworth alloy wheels look fantastic on that black car. My car is white in colour and i was hoping to use 205x16x45 tyres. Are those alloy wheels cromed?

Does any body have any pictures of a standard white ford fiesta rs1800? I was hoping to restore car to original but change exhaust & alloy wheels only.
