Great game and Arsenal started well, good passing, pressure and a goal but then they stop passing and then Liverpool stopped letting them pass with 2 or 3 players running to get the ball at times. Liverpool became the passing team and Arsenal just did endless long balls, total character switch.

Has to be said that although it was a good goal from Torres they let him have all the space in the world and Liverpool were lucky yet again. Arsenal were so close to dumping them out scoring a second at Anfield but then right after they get a penalty for an arm pull which was what Kuyt got away with at the first leg. Add that to the 2 red cards v Inter and the 2 penalty issues and Liverpool probably already have their name on the cup.

Funny to see that in 22 starters with 3 only being English it was an English guy, Theo who came on and stole the night brilliance wise. What a run and assist that was.

Good result for Liverpool. I hate both but a bit gutted for Arsenal seeing that.

Pen wasn't given for an arm pull, it was for the bump into Babel's back by Toure once he got the wrong side of him.

It was never a penalty in a million years. Arsenal scored 2 away goals whilst IMO player very poor and deserved to go through. The last goal was irrelevant as it was over.

what a game!!!!!!!! once again doing it "The Liverpool way" aka the hard way this is not good for my heart boys!

arsenal played really well and i felt for them as i have a soft spot for arsenal, theo's run was good but you have to remember he came on as sub against a tired bunch of players good decision by wenger, both me and my mate watching the game didnt want to see theo come on because of his pace, aurelio should have brought him down. babel did the same he used his pace to burst into the box and make an arsenal player commit a foul, and burst into the arsenal half again to seal the win at the end, i thought rafa got it spot on with babels sub wenger i think should have started with theo.

once again the fans prove there aint know better atmosphere then anfield they played there part, the 12 man, and the main reason i love this club!

Cracks me up at how Liverpool's wins are described as 'lucky' and how A N Other team 'deserved' to win

No credit is given for the fantastic goal Torres scored... also Sami's superb header, nor the fact that after 25 mins when L'pool woke up and started 'playing' that they were the better team and pressed home their dominance in the 2nd half.

With Anfield being the 1st leg for the first time for quite a while i can see Home advantage for Chelsea in the second leg as a big advantage! As the only time Chelsea have lost at Home for quite a while iirc is Barcelona when they lost 3-1 (awesome but by ronaldino iirc)
