I very rarely use said road but even I could see that speed on that road would end in tears

A good result then, i think id rather have a 28 day ban then be on the limit with the points as a totting up ban would get you a 6 month ban.

(a good result providing the jobs safe though of course)

not too bad a result there.

alan, they never give points aswell as a temporary ban. thats the up-side of having one instead of having loadsa points hanging over you for 3 years (like i had!)

shouldnt have give them the satisfaction of crying in the court though!

Not really as they could of given her 9pts say then one more time caught doing 35 in a 30 and shes banned for 6 months...

And from what i was told a few years back when i had a 28 day ban (93 in a 60)

up and inc 40mph over the limit the max ban they can give you is 28 days (so duty solicitor told me)

Insurance quotes may be interesting after a ban, but still nice to not get any points, as would have been 6 minimum.
I'd be quite happy with that really.

Well i have the backing of my DP, my business manager and my sales manager!

SO it is all in HR's hands now! But has been suggested i may just have to take a 28 day holiday!

The guy who went in before me was charged with 130mph on a motorbike, he was banned for 28 days too and with a £500 fine i think!

Does anyone else have NO idea of what a "DP" is when its not in the context of a porn film, and im sure that isnt how she means it?

Sounds good though if you get away with just taking some unpaid leave and still have a job to go back to

Do you have to drive daily in your job Maria? Might sound daft but is it stipulated in your contract of employment?

I ended up with a £600 fine and 9 points for a similar incident so count yourself lucky ! I so wish I'd of had a ban tbh as those points stopped me from being able to have a nice car for a few yeas.

IIRC a ban stays on your license for 10 years, I know people with them and their insurance wasnt' affected though.

Best of luck with the HR
