hello all signed up a while back looking for a mk4 escort.....
well today i brought a mk5 escort convertible J plate.
1.4 cvh engine ill stick the pictures up 2mro

cheers mate it didnt have a log book so i got a check done with with the rac and its all legit the log book should be here soon

well picked this up 2day found out its been sat for a year the storey was the kiddy that brought it was ready for his test and failed so him and his mates thought they would just use it to smoke weed in there lol......after 10mins of charging threw the jump leads it finally kicked into life first time in a year....it ran ok but u couldent rev it to the limiter (this was on the way home) as we got closer to home 5mile drive.it started to open up a bit more and started to rev all the way but then go abit groggy.got it home turned it off within 2seconds of turning it off then trying to start it was dead so i got it on the drive and stuck the battery on charge.i cleaned the plugs flushed the system put some fresh oil in and now she runs mint.the body work is not the best but what can u expect for a Jreg car.the inside was the pits screws missing from everywhere no glove box dodgy wiring for the speakers so after a few more hours the inside is nearly done all screws replaced and wiring sorted out........things i need are 2front seats.a glove box.and the pannel for fuse box ect.and 2 rear door pockets.....only problems ive come across is the rev counter and petrol gauge and electric windows arnt working ive checked fuses and wiring ect all fine so not sure what the problem is other than that its nearly ready for the mot.
