mineral all the way!
and dont take it too easy when running a car in,, you need pressure on the ring lands for them to force themselfs onto the chamber walls!

It does make me laugh when people often say 'use the cheapest crap-iest oil you can find.'

After Karl built my engine, I used mineral for about 1000, then semi for about 1000, and now just put Mobil 1 15/50 in it.

As said, dont be too shy on the loud pedal either, but that doesnt mean redlining it either

the only person you should see about running-in is your engine builder he will tell you what you should be doing,
i use millers running-in oil, yes they do a specialised oil for that very job... i will do 400 miles ish and cycle between 3K and 4K alot and also not be to gentle with it... try and get to allsorts of loads, up hills ..over run ect.. thats how i do it and never had an issue whatsoever.
good luck.
