i am looking for a uprated gearbox for the sapphire cossie.. something that can take about 600bhp of abused but not willing to go straight cut cause it a daily car. any recommendation?

you will struggle to find a gear kit that can withstand that sort of power (more importantely the amount of torque it will have) and not have at the very least 2nd and 3rd straight cut, but two things you havent stated weather it for 2wd or 4x4 and why would you use a 600bhp cossie as a daily drive.

 

You can easily get boxes to cope with this power, IF your pockets are deep enough.
You ask about wide or close ratio, that would best be dictated by your power band, if it is narrow and you use a wide spaced box you will struggle, if it is a wide power band and you use a narrow ratio kit you ight be better off with wider spaced ratio's.

true but it is the torque associated hige power engines that do the damage the box will probably cope but standard gears wont last to long especially 3rd gear which gets all the torque sent through it thats why quite a comman upgrade is normal 1st,4th and 5th with straight cut 2nd and 3rd where most of the torque is transfered through the box.
Plus it would also depend on weather it a 2wd or 4b box i assume it a 2wd as you not mentioned diffs.

search for what rod tarry uses with a lot more power than that

 

I have heard of a cossie running a ZF4HP22 with 24 parts and a beemer 850 tail end, but I don't suppose you want auto!!
