Yes, its a known virus.

The only thing I have read that may fix it is to change your MSN password, then log out and back in again.

Balls I hadn't heard of that I've disconnected that pc from the web now and I'm doing a virus search etc. I don't even want to log back in to MSN after that

I had a similar one where a msg arrived from a mate " check out my new photos "

i downloaded it and then opened it and dbl clicked it.

Hes a photographer so its not unusual

just as I did it, it hit me it was a virus.

So my machine started doing the same to everyone on my contacts, offering them pics etc, so that it could pass itself on.

Symantec couldnt get it, lodas of things couldnt remove it. However AVG free edition did.

maybe that will work for u

It's not a proper link so it shouldn't work. It's not the whole link and I've put a space in it so it doesn't work.

I'm running an AVG scan on the pc now and I have also run an adaware scan and that removed loads of stuff It's a work laptop so there's nothing on it dodgy

I`ve had this, as above use AVG, and that should clear it.

CHECK THE EXTENSION BEFORE YOU OPEN ANYTHING SENT TO YOU ON MSN!

If you open up something ending .exe or .com from anyone over msn without first knowing exactly what it is and virus scanning it, you are being ridiculously naive!

nobody ever pops up saying oh is this you and check this out with some dodgy link. I certainly know my mates well enough to know when things are viruses or not
