hi folks
As the title says im a newbie to the forums.im from the far north of scotland,at the moment im driving a civic vti,i have been for a while now and think its time for an upgrade.i havn't had a ford before and im fancying getting maself an escort cossie, so im looking for some advice on what to look for and what to avoid.i got a budget of about 15k and im looking for a small turbo version in ash black or petrol blue.any advice would be much appreciated

thanks for the welcome,im from john o'groats, a 2hour drive north of inverness.i've seen a couple of ones advertised around lancanster,1very nice 1 in wigan

One thing id say is dont buy on colour, buy on condition and if that happens to be your prefered colour then its a bonus.
It must be a pain on the arse when looking for cars living that far out, especially when its a cossie your after. I went to Inverness this week, 7 and a half hours from me and i did it all the way there with only one 1 minute piss stop, filled up round the corner and did it all the way back with just another piss stop. Was an absolute killer.

it is a nightmare,its a minimum of a day trip if i want to go looking at a car.im only 100 miles north of inverness but it takes 2hours 2 drive because of the road,even worse is the 4hour train journey lol
am i being hopeful thinkin i'll get a good cossie for under 15k?
