Default Rockford Fosgate

how good are these compared to other makes for 10"/12" subs?

I know they used to be rated as the best, but is that still the case and wheres the best place to get them apart from america as the postage would probably be too much . I dont really want 1 second hand either due to the risk of them being damaged.

Rockford Fosgate used to be cracking, they were imported by Path Group in high wycombe although now they have no UK importer, they are not as good quality or performers as they once were.
JL Audio as stated are very good subs as stated but do like a bit of power and decent caps to make the most from them.

Personally I always liked celestion subs as they are more punchy than heavy
